We here at Rollin Thunder Farm highly recommend East Coast Equine Transport.  The communication prior to pick up, during the trip, and at time of delivery is outstanding.  Scheduling trips is done with ease, and any questions are always answered promptly.  Updates are given throughout the trip.  We always appreciate the calls just to say everyone is doing fine.  The care they provide to the horses during the trip is phenomenal!  We have had horses shipped from across the country and from parts of Canada; the horses always show up in remarkable condition.  They use safe reliable equipment that is always clean and comfortable for the horses.  We have and will continue to trust East Coast Equine Transport with all our transporting needs.  We are so lucky we found such experienced, dependable, and friendly transporters.
Sincerely,

Missy and Karen Bracy

Looking for a SAFE and RELIABLE HAULER?

We just used East Coast Equine Transport to haul our mares to KY. They did a phenomenal job. I booked the haul in November. They kept me updated with emails to let me know that we were still on track. They called me several days out to let me know where they were and when they'd be here. They arrived right on time. Very nice trailer. It was big, clean and SAFE. My mares left ND on Tuesday morning and were delivered to Gumz Farms the following afternoon. They called me enroute and again once my mares were delivered. It was the BEST hauling experience we have ever had and I highly recommend them.

Thanks for checking in. Belle arrived safe and sound. We are very pleased with the service. The drivers were very nice and it was like a homecoming hearing a Maine accent. Thank you for all of your help in getting Belle out here to me in California. She is settling in well and we had a wonderful time camping and trail riding at Cuneo Creek this last weekend. We will have to send you photos when Belle has her Hot Diggity Joe baby next spring! Take care.

I want to thank you for arranging on picking up Quimby and delivering him to my door.

I would highly recommend your equine-transport to anyone and everyone. My baby was well taken care of and he had not been stressed in any way.  Your drivers were wonderful and anyone could see their love for animals. They were able to even tell me about my baby's character and a hint of what he liked.

Thank you so much., I would have been totally stressed out the whole trip had I gone and
brought him home myself.

Take care and God bless

I thought I would give you my perspective on how KoKo did on her trip from SW Florida to the Finger Lakes Region of NY. First of all, I found your drivers to be kind, patient and accommodating. I was nervous for my mare. She had never traveled far. Of course she loaded like a pro and that started things off well. Even though I was assured several times that she was doing fine during the trip, I couldn't help but worry. She was unloaded right on schedule and went right to her new stall. The stable owner where she was unloaded was very experienced with long distance haulers and could not say enough good things about East Coast! EC exceeded all her expectations. She said it was obvious that they were experienced horse people. She added that the trailer was clean and the shavings were deep.

I would have to say that the real stamp of approval came from KoKo. She loaded without hesitation a couple weeks later.

Thanks for all your help. I hope you have a great time in Acadia!

Hello Pat,
I wanted to thank you so much for hauling my horse from Southern Maine to our new home in Fort Myers, FL. I was very nervous because this was my 13 year old Paint mare's first long haul trip. Pat calmed my nerves with calls & texts from the road during the trip. Pat kept me up to date with how great my mare was doing & how much water she was drinking. Pat suggested Apple Dex to provide my horse with needed electrolytes for a long trip. This was great advice. (I recommend that anyone who is going to have their horse travel long distances to start Apple Dex at least 2 weeks prior to travel.) My mare drank plenty of water & I was very pleased to hear that from Pat. My mare is a little bit skiddish with loading but Pat stayed calm & took her time letting my mare sniff & inspect the trailer. The trailer had plenty of hay & ample shavings on board.

Pat runs excellent clean equipment. Her trucks & trailers are top notch. Pat did a lay over in Ocala, FL & my horse had a nice stall & grassy pasture for the lay over. The next morning my mare loaded right back on the trailer for the final trip to Fort Myers. I'm so happy & grateful to Pat for the excellent handling of my mare's first long haul trip. Pat also has the absolute best rates. I was amazed at what a great price it was to ship my horse all the way from Maine to Florida. She really has this all down to an exact science! I would not hesitate to call her again if I needed my horse shipped. I will without a doubt recommend East Coast Equine Transport (Pat!) to all the horse owners I meet in my new home of Fort Myers. My horse and I will stay in touch with Pat because she is a great person, excellent transporter & knowledgeable horse woman.

Hi Pat,
Just thought I would tell you and anyone else visiting your site, how professional and competent your company is. I have used you many times but think it is time that I let others know what a quality trucking company East Coast Equine Transport is.

From the time of booking until delivery there was never a lack of communication as to the safety and well being of my horses.  Some of these horses that were being transported to me were completely unknown to me and by the time they got here, I felt like I knew them and could care for them better by your observations and horse knowledge.  It took the guess work out of new horses!!!

Thank you so much and I will certainly use you again and recommend you highly to anyone wanting quality care and understanding of the two and four-footed clients!

I want to thank you again for transporting my good filly from Nebraska to Utah.  This time of year the roads through the mountain passes can be so poor I had real concerns about the transport.  When the big snow storm hit my heart sank, it was important to get the horse moved before Christmas so I was quite worried.
During the transport you kept me well informed and answered emails immediately.  The storm forced your driver to lay over in Rawlins, Wyoming for a few days but the mare was stalled and well taken care of.  When the roads cleared enough for safe travel the horse was delivered in good condition.  This young horse hadn't trailered but a couple times so it was a comfort knowing she was in competent hands.  I've used other transport companies before and had good luck with them, but there's no question you guys are a step above the rest.

Thank you so much for all your help!

"Pat, just wanted to write a note here to tell you how great a job your company and driver Duane did in transporting my horse and my friend's horse to CA.  He was gentle, calm, knowledgeable, and really strong, he took super care of the horses, they arrived after a really long trip feeling good and that  means the world to me.  Dex (the other horse) will have a big red bow on him for his new little girl, and my horse will be warm and sunny all winter, thanks to you.  Thanks to East Coast Transport!"

Dear Pat,
I've neglected to send our thanks to you all--especially Dwayne--for the careful and secure transport of Chico from Rockport to Potomac, Maryland, last January 16. Chico seems to be happy in his new fields with lots of new companions. He fared well, after a good ride nicely done by Dwayne. You all were right there for us, and we are very grateful.  Meeting you via telephone and Dwayne (great fellow!) in person was a pleasure.
Best wishes to all!!

I met Pat briefly before she was to depart to VA to pick up my new boy. I was very concerned about the transport to NH, having witnessed and experienced the unspeakable, but was instantly put at ease after talking with Pat for just a few moments. She was soft spoken, compassionate, and very re-assuring, an 'old soul."

Very few people in the service industry suprise me and sadly we have come to expect mediocre customer care. I have to say, Pat knocked my socks off. She went above and beyond to deliver an impeccable service. Her equipment was spotless. The box stall was bedded thickly with shavings. She stopped 2-3 hours to see that my guy was comfortable, eating, drinking, and eliminating. She added electrolytes to his water to encourage him to drink. We spoke several times during the trip and she texted me to keep me abreast of their progress. She was on time. No delays, no change of plans, no switching up the route. My new boy was delivered safe and sound after his 14 hour trip. He calmly walked off the trailer and into his new home. His weight was perfect, his coat glistened, his eyes were soft and he gave me a nod as if to say, "good choice, mom."

Thank you, Pat, for this incredible experience. You are truly a good shepherd and a gift to the industry.

We were so pleased with East Coast Equine Transport recently.  They trailered for us twice in about the last month, &, the whole experience couldn't have been better!  Our  TWH mare, Sugar, arrived in Maryland  from Georgia in fine shape--calm and bright.  Pat is so helpful and efficient and made the trips go so smoothly, eliminating most of the usual anxiety on our part when we have a horse transported! Jim and Vicky did the actual transporting; I would certainly request them in the future--such nice, caring , kind horse people.  They, and Pat, treat the horses (& their owners) well!  Everything was right on schedule!  East Coast Equine Transport is the company we will try to use for any horse transporting from now on.

Thanks, Pat!

Pat Thompson, East Coast Equine Transport, and her able crew are the preferred horse haulers for Maple Hill Farm.

Over and over again they have shown kindness and professionalism in transporting our horses.  Each one, from our small Hackney pony, Brave Bitsy, to Pearl and Shearl, our commodious Belgian mares, has been cared for according to their individual needs.

I know I can depend on Pat, and I know she cares about our horses!

Bix left for his new home yesterday at 0739  hours and arrived in Vermont at 1934 hours.   Bix was transported by 'East Coast Equine Transport' owned by Pat Thompson.  EVERY thing was 100% right.  The driver called the night before to say they would arrive at 0700 hours, they were there at 0650.   There were two drivers in a big 350, a newer looking  3 horse trailer with what looked like Canadian pine bedding, and a stuffed hay bag. They introduced themselves to me and to Bix.   Both of these men were patient and knowledgable, they didn't rush me as I wrapped his legs and were interested when I explained his leg issues.

When it was time to load ,Bix, (who has thousands of miles of trailering from working in and around the City of Pittsburgh) saw his first ramp and needed time to investigate it and then the trailer....not once did they try to rush him.  Once loaded and the ramp was lifted into place it became final for me, after seeing this horse almost every day for the last 15 years, it was over and I started having a hard time.  The driver, Dwayne, saw my heart breaking and was very supportive.

I recieved 3 calls durning the trip to keep me updated, they also called Sandy each time.  The last call was to tell me he had arrived safley and was being hand grazed by Sandy.  Sandy was also called with updates and said they could not have been nicer and that when Bix got off the trailer he was calm and in great shape.

I HIGHLY recomend this company and would use them myself.  The email is:

Hi Pat,

I am sure you know that Elly has been safely delivered to Altoona, FL.  But I wanted to take the time to say; Thank you Pat, Jim Hoyt, your driver, and his assistant for the great care and attention given, not only to her during the trip, but to me as well.  From our first contact by email, to her exit from the trailer, all of you have made this a very professional experience.  I aprreciated your prompt and thorough responses (before and during the trip) and the extra effort taken to make an anxious owner more relaxed.  Any future trips that we need will be with you.

God Bless,

I highly recommend East Coast Equine Transport and have used them FOUR times so far and the horses always arrive in great condition and in good time; from an 8 month old colt on his first road trip to a 1700lb, 17hd Percheron matron mare.  Pat is very responsive via email and phone, and her driver, Jim Hoyt is very professional and capable, and a horse person himself.  I have recommended them numerous times to friends looking for an economical, professional, responsive and responsible shipper.  Obviously I'm a fan and can't say enough good things about the outfit.  I may even be using them a 5th time soon if everything works out, which really says something.

Thank you, Pat, for providing transportation for our Spanish Norman mare on July 15th from Indiana to Maine. Your drivers were experienced, competent, accommodating, and professional. This was our first experience using an equine transportation service and we couldn't have been happier. Our horse arrived safe and sound in excellent condition. Your drivers did everything they could to facilitate a positive experience for the horse and for us as we anxiously awaited her arrival. In the event that we need to transport a horse in the future, you folks will be our first and only choice!

Like many people in today's economy , I was faced with having to place my ponies quickly due to a job situation.  I never thought I'd have to place my ponies that I raised from infancy and it was a difficult and heartbreaking circumstance, Fortunately I found a great place for them but it was 1,000 miles away and I had 2 backyard ponies that were not used to loading, traveling etc.

I contacted a local hauler who assured me that he was used to that and hauled Thoroughbred yearlings . No problem he said. I have done this for 30 years and the only horse I haven't been able to load was my own.  I was so glad to hear those words but I assure you they were only words.  The guy showed up, parked his van on the street (despite having a semi circular driveway and plenty of room). He then proceeding to blindfold my gelding. He fell on the ramp in the street and that was pretty much it for him. We tried to load him for an hour but he refused. The guy then proceeded to berate me for having untrained horses, despite my clear communication to him about their training level. Then he charged me for gas and time and didn't return all of the transport  fee which I had to pay in cash up front.

Pat then proceeded to save my life. She came with her skilled staff and it took us 2 hours to get the gelding loaded, after his bad experience but they got it done and they are now at a great place and I will be eternally grateful to Pat and Austin and Duane. Although my life was falling apart, I wanted to make sure my ponies were in a good situation and Pat did that.

Much thanks to these folks and please come to them first for any of your equine transportation needs. They are patient,  experienced and keep their word.

Dear Pat and Austin,

Thank you so much for picking up my horses and transporting them 7 miles to their new home.
I have been very stressed and going through alot and a week ago I could not get my 4 year old
gelding loaded onto a trailer after trying for about 45 minutes to an hour. I also had a friend that
was trying to help me. my paint mare loaded but my quarterhorse gelding would not load. I got
dragged through the trailer and out the back of the trailer. My nerves were shot due to the situation
at the home I lost.
I called you , Pat , and you and Austin came up a week later. I loaded Honey onto the trailer
and did not even touch quimby because I did not want him to feel my nerves. Quimby had not been
loaded on a trailer for 3 years due to my living situation.  Austin went and put Quimby's halt and lead on
and he worked his magic. Pat worked with Austin and I ended up holding a petition while Pat worked
with Austin getting Quimby to want to load. You both worked magic and after 20 minutes you go quimby
on the trailer ,then Austin took quimby and had him go on and off the trailer several times for several minutes
and just after the first load Quimby went on and off perfectly including when we got to their new home
quimby trusted Austin so much he patiently waited for him and walked off the trailer with him perfectly
Honey did well as well.  You used Natural horsemanship and was very gentle with quimby the whole time.
Thank you so much for working your magic. You did such a fantastic job . You helped me so much.
What a relief. I can't thank you enough . I feel  this could not have been done without you.

Thank you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! your the best !!!

 Dear Pat,

I wanted to thank you and Austin for taking my 11'1 pony from the rurals of Maine to Leesburg, Virginia.  The service you and Austin provided was outstanding.  Austin kept in constant contact with me prior to picking up Bella until she reach her home safe and sound and HAPPY!   I was concerned about Bella since she is so small and within one minute of meeting Austin, all my concerns diminished.  Austin explained exactly the plan and route to me and I knew Bella was in the best hands possible.  I will without doubt use your services again and recommend you without hesitation.

Many thanks again for everything you do for these horses and the people who love them.

My very best,
Shannon Stichman

Dear Pat and crew,
Can't tell you how thrilled I was that you were able the handle the shipping so quickly and so efficiently of my 2 yr old Welsh Cob  filly , that I had sold a few days before to an excited new owner in NC.
It was extremely beneficial to be able to literally load her from the barn aisle directly on to your trailers ramp , even though we decided to load her slightly unconventionally by backing her up the ramp and turning her when she was loaded which was done quickly with much less stress and without any complications.
Not Having to wait for one of the larger "Horse tractor trailers" to fill a load before shipping was really great. Which means : less pickups and times in between dropping them off.
She arrived in great shape and into the arms of her new owner.
As a breeder of 35 yrs...can't ask for better.
Thanks so much.
